The Unified Planning Work Program is the budget and work plan for Regional Transportation Planning Office staff.

This management document directs the focus of staff and identifies accomplishments. The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is developed every two years and updated annually.

Public Input Opportunity

The Grand Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking public input on the draft 2026-2027 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) Amendment #1. The UPWP is the budget and work plan of RTPO staff. The UPWP helps assure that transportation planning resources are allocated according to regional needs.

The public comment period ends August 24, 2026. The Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee will hold a public hearing and vote on UPWP adoption on August 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Grand Junction City Hall Auditorium.
